HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY!!! :P i hope that we will have an awesome year ahead, just as great as 2008 was or even better! i hope that this year will be filled with fun moments that i will treasure for life. =D i wanna thank everyone for being a part of my life in 2008, and letting me be a part of theirs. i havent always been great, but thanks for sticking with me through it all. :)

the whole family went to jb to celebrate my dad's birthday. we started out at tgif. the awesome restaurant. i described it in one of my previous posts. look it up. anyhow, i ordered shrimp! :) yummy. but they so totally cheated me. they said there'd be a dozen when there were 11! lols. as you can see, i was kinda bored. so after i was done, i had nothing to do but count the shrimp tails. i was pretty disappointed cos they din have my strawberry parfait!!!! >( my lovely, yummy, delicious parfait... :'(

after that, we went to a shopping mall. this is where i got my hair done. rebonded it again. platinum rebond. (oooo) lols. yeap. and i decided to go with a middle parting with bangs. yes. i got bangs. :S it's pretty hard to imagine, trust me, cos it's been a day, and i'm still not used to seeing myself with that kinda hairstyle. i guess it kinda looks like cleopetra. i emphasize on the KINDA.

since it was a 2 hr+ long process, my brothers went to catch a movie - the spirit. and my parents went off shopping.

after i got that done, we all met up. and then, panic! my little bro was lost!!! so we went round looking for him. turned out that he was buying candy from action city. he supposedly told my older brother. but i dont think he heard. guess how much candy he bought. he bought 18RM worth of bubblegum. and it isnt even the good kind. it's the ball, totally artificial flavouring kind. th eone wher eyou put a dollar into a machine and one comes rolling out. yea. that kind. can you imagine? 18RM. O.o i was totally shocked. ok, well not TOTALLY. (it IS hazril and candy) but still, pretty shocked.

we had dinner at sushi king. all except my mom, who cant stand the smell of sushi. itadakimasu! i had 2 plates of fried ebi sushi. and the unagi set thingum. sushiiiii! hontou oishii! :) lols. and there were these juices and puddings that kept rotating on the belt, and i was sooooo tempted to just take it cos they were oh-so-kawaii~ and one of them was my flavour; momo! =D

and that was basically tuesday.

just now, we had a bbq at my aunt's. and i FINALLY got ayden to smile for the camera. he is soooooo adorable! so so so so so soooo cute! xP and thank you kak raiha for saving my hair. my fringe was slanted so she touched up for me. at least now it wont be too hard for my friends to deal with on friday. it looked sorta like a helmet at first. oh! i'm digressing! okok. pictureeee-->

today is a very very VERY boring day. my brother's friends are coming over for some council-christmas party. and i have got nothing to do for the entire day. i woke up late, as usual. it's become a norm. sleeping late and waking up even later. my biological clock really is wonked.

i've been brainstorming band names. lols. juts in case one day, i may want to make one.
1- metamorphosis

and that's all i managed to come up with. kiwi said that it's a cool name. and so did anusha that day during graduation. BUT nad and syah say that it's a weird name.

come to think of it, when you stare at it for too long, it's pretty eye bogus. :O hmms. also, i cam eup with metamorphosis cos like complete change. something along those lines. and like i searched evanescence. and it meant gradually fading away. so it's pretty cool really. but like i came up with metamorphosis thinking of butterflies cos i love butterflies. they're just so fascinating and beautiful and really intrigue me.

but after a while, i realised that metamorphosis applies to everything else too. from frogs, to grasshoppers and odd things. so ah well. back to brainstorming.

i just came back from west coast plaza with my bro. we walked there to "explore" the place. cos i've never been there before. it's an upgrade as compared to ginza. there's popular and this cool jap dessert place. pretty neat. but there are a lot of redundant art things everywhere. like, where you think a shop will be, they put up some weird art piece there. very very odd.

it's 2 people's birthday tomorrow. hafiz and my dad. i think we'll be going out for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday tomorrow. i'll were my black dress. :)

as of now, i'm being attacked by a single mosquito that refuses to just die from bug spray. DIE STUPID MOSQUITO. >(

oh, but on the plus side, there are quite a few things in store for me this week. as i have already stated, a dinner tomorrow, a bbq or something for the new year at my aunt's place - probably wearing jeans and a blouse, friday i'm hanging with the girls - my jap skirt. :)

and so, for the rest of the night, i'll be on my bed, eating licorice and listening to paramore.

i'm back from my run. >< i ran the neighbourhood. so that would be, past the condos, past the jap school, past some more condos, turn into the flats at the sheng siong area, and back. i'd say it's about 3 km or more?

then i went to west coast park and did stuffies with my cousin. we were at the fitness corner. and we were barely using the equipment there. but all the same. a fitness corner, is a place for everybody to keep fit. :)

there was no dinner at home. the oven is out, and so is the toaster. so, i made my own! xp i made a bento. the octopus weiner. and tamgoyaki. yeap.

you know, i realised that when you dont have something like school or work, that constantly reminds you of what day it is, sooner or later, you start to lose track of the date and day. i had to check (twice) of what day it is today. i kept thinking that it's monday, till i think back of what has happened over the past few days. then i realise that the numbers just dont add up.

lols. ok. forgive me for the completely pointless rant about days and dates. it was just an epiphany and i decided to add it onto the entry. ><

the last few days have been spent with my family and cousins. IF i recall correctly, we went to my aunt's house on thursday. thursday..... yea. should be it. :P anyhow, nazreen, hazril, the twins and i followed my uncle to buy sushi. =D well, for obvious reasons, we were to have sushi for dinner. (YAY!) so we set off for west mall. and went up to sakae sushi to place our orders. but you know, the weird thing is that we order at the branch at west mall, but they tell us to collect it at frontier.

so, all of us got back into the car, and were desperately trying to find frontier. honestly, doing that was probably the most troublesome thing ever. it wasnt found in the gps, and the signboards of this country are majorly outdated. so, we only found it at what seemed to be the 6th try, after kak raiha searched the directions online or something, and called us to tell us where we ought to be headed.

the wait was surprisingly fun. :) we had nazreen entertain us with her gay dance. and that's not an insult to the dance. because, well, it really is a dance meant to mock the gay in one of her plays. thus, the name - gay dance. lols. i suppose people who were passing by thought of us as crazy. but ah well, all the same. we may as well be. xP we were just THAT high.

that night, all of us sat our asses in front of the tv in the living room to watch the little nyonya. :) it really is interesting. but not addictive enough to get me to watch it every night. not yet anyway. so while everyone was watching, i was playing with ayden (:D!!!) i guess i got the story from just hearing the dialogue. and that means that my chinese is a lot better! ><

after the hour-long show, we sent the twins, nazreen and nadya uphill. cos that's really where their house is. we went in for a bit. the main objective was to see the owl that has been leeching on the front porch. it is sooooo small. and cute in a way. but mostly, to me (and probably my mom) it was freaky. i mean, a bird, or any animal that can stay still for such long hours on end. that's robotic-like isnt it? nazreen gave me her black nail polish. (ty!) and i put it on that night.

alright. so that was thursday. oh, and at this point, i'd like to highlight that this is gonna be a REALLY long post. i mean, we had 3 days of activities in a row. and i can be pretty detailed. even for the slightest things.

friday was wild wild wet for the first time. we were there from 10 in the morning till it closed at 7. that's 9 straight hours of wetness (another word added to the exclusive dictionary for nazyra's words) the rides were pretty cool. all except the samsung ride.

*note that the names arent really their actual given names. some are nicknames that we came up with for the attractions of www.

i swear the samsung ride is 100% pure horror. it's like what? 3 storeys high? and if you look down at the start of the slide, it's just like plunging 3 storeys, there's barely a slope. you may as well be on a bungee belt. i paired up with nazreen cos it's a 2-seater ride. once we reached the top, i was freaking out. big time. like there was adrenaline, and i was hyperventilating. and omg, it was just O.o i think i waited like 3 whole minutes before actually having the guts to step into the float.

and the ride itself? :O you feel like you're being lifted off the float. and this is one of the very, VERY few times where i can relate things to physics. in this scenario, we can relate to inertia. lols. ><

i like the big big slide, the waterworks, as it's called. and the raft - ular-lah. weird names really. for all those that do not speak malay. it basically means, snake-lah. i guess it's cos the slide is like a long snake?? who knows?

the tsunami is cool too. a wave generator creates rather strong waves. :P and we sit in there with either floats or life jackets. a life jacket, in the water, proves to be rather dangerous. they're not exactly made to be fitting of anything. so, we'll be almost strangled by the life jackets. deadly.

we spent most of the day in the relax river. or as my brother calls it the relac-river. (add a mad accent to it) lols. my brother's brilliant in imitating accents and impressions. but the one accent he cant do is my mom's accent. if you're wondering "whta accent would that be, nazyra?" well, honestly, i cant answer that myself. you'll have to listen to it. it's like, irish, italian, indian, chinese, or british. my mom cant do any. and all of them will sound exactly the same. so it's like her universal accent. that nobody can imitate. original, i suppose. lols.

i suppose that's enough description on friday.

saturday meant bowling at RTC with the same people. my family and nazreen's. :D it's given that i suck at bowling. it's like no matter what i do or how i throw the stupid ball, it always end up in the gutter. :S i guess bowling's just not my thing.

after bowling, i had dinner with my family. i tried hunting for eclipse and breaking dawn again. and yet again. it's sold out. it seems that the twilight fever is getting to everyone. i think it's safe to assume that most popular bookstores would not carry the twilight series. so that leaves me with borders and kino. but both of them are really expensive, so another option is to wait. and that's what i'll do. >< see? so gwai.

i have black nails again. see, after painting them on friday, somehow, it all flaked off when i went to wild wild wet. i guess chlorine does something to nail polish.

let's see. what random stuff have i done today? hrm. well, i finally finihsed 24 eps of special a. i swear my jap has tremendously improved. :) as for the storyline of special a - it is soooo sweet. and hikari is so dense. honestly. she's sharp about all things redundant. but when it come sto herself, she is completely oblivious.

and... i am discussing fictional characters again... o.o i think tadashi is my kinda guy. :P and i want a bike!!!!! but i know that 1) i wont dare ride it. and 2) my mom will kill me for even considering having one. wont you now? :) i know you'll comment about this a few days from now. heh.

so right now, i'm listening to my playlist on limewire while waiting for my cousin to call me. we're going for a jog in the neighbourhood. my playlist consists of evanescence, fall out boy, katy perry, paramore (<3) and black eyed peas. basically, al the songs that i wanted to add to my phone, but cant since my stupid usb cable REFUSES to work for me.

oh! and on a random note, i got the shock of my life yesterday. i was brushing my teeth and brushing my hair after lunch, and my dad, being his usual cheeky self, was just waiting silently for me in this horrible freaky way, by the door. so after wiping my face, i turned around and he's the first thing i see. and i SCREAM. it is FREAKY ok? i mean he's like what? 30cm from my face? so yes. very freaky. you do NOT wanna do that to me, seeing how loud my voice can go.

ah well. enough with the randomness. and i shall commence my jog soon. :)

a LOT has happened over the past few days. and so for the first time in ages, i actually have many things to blog about - instead of the usual pointless rants i make on this site.

on sunday, i went out with the girls. namely, yvonne, nad and jo. i woke up really late despite having set my alarm clock. constant,annoying rings just dont wake me up. anyhows, i was obviously the latest to arrive. the girls were at suntec so i speed-walked the whole way there. by the time i reached the movie theatre, my feet were already super sore from the killer shoes. i met the others in front of the eng wah cinema at suntec. nad was wearing the purple top from Fox that i picked out and jo was wearing the red top i helped her choose. vonvon was wearing heels too. (and a skirt!) and they killed her sooner or later as well. oh! and i was wearing the pink dress. von said i looked sweet, like cotton candy. >.< why, thank you yvonne. anyhows, we purchased our tickets for twilight before grabbing a bite at kfc.

honestly, the movie isnt all that great. i mean it was acceptable. as in, like it was a real letdown compared to the book. the first bit was such exaggerated acting and they also cut out a lot of stuff. like the whole alice in the asylum thing and also carlisle's past. which, i think, are both quite vital parts in explaining the 2nd book. the part that i did like was charlie, and his odd parenting ways. also, i find alice to be the prettiest one there. super uber cute and pretty. and in the movie, i found bella to be extremely crazy and stupid. constantly saying, i'm not afraid, i dont care. like hell you dont. all i'm trying to say is that the acting din't seem very convincing.

anyhows, after the movie, von ditched us to go someplace. lols. that's when me, nad and jo went to step up 3!!! (inside joke). there, we saw this ultra gay dancer. can you say freaky?

ohoh!!! nad bought me my belated birthday present from clique 6. this super huge cubic zirconia necklace. must've been like 4 or 5 karats?? very simple. yet elegant. my kinda thing. lols.

in the end, i wore it when i went out with my family at night. by then, i already had 2 blisters. one on each foot, on my little toe. youch! we went to IMM. and for the first time, i followed my dad while the boys went with my mom. i was looking for potential furniture for my new room. so exciting!!! :P we found this really cool bed!!! but it was 1.75 metres in breadth. and i have no idea how that's gonna fit into my room, witheout having me to walk in an absolute straight line to get from place to place. so i guess the victorian room idea is scratched. if only my dad put up the stupid wall in my current room, then i would actually have space! and i even drew out a design for it years back. (which my mum threw out eventually, cos i stuck it to my wardrobe door. :( ) btu i mean, come on! with that amount of space, there's almost nothing you can do. ah well. but at least i'd get my own room. :P

monday was the 2nd last hip hop lesson. so i met up with jo and we walked to the cc. i swear that my nose and throat were out to kill me. i was sneezing really hard and i had the worst voice in months. kiwi wouldve called it the 'sexy voice' :D lols. but yes, i kept on coughing. thank god i still had my lozenges. so i was popping them like pills throughout class. the moves were cool, i'll admit. :) and the boys WERE getting better.

i said better. but that doesnt make them good. i know it's mean, but they are soooo not coordinated. seriously though, they did improve. if only by a little. after, class, i followed jo home cos i was to sleep over at her place.

she has a pretty nice place. cozy and quite cool. esp her bed. but there's the off-chance that you may just roll out of bed, out the window, and down 4 storeys. a little fearsome. lols. we watched the little nyonya at 8. it was a 2 episode thing. and i must say that the storyline is quite addictive. BUT! the turn off is that the story just moves sooooo slowly! like, crazy slow. so i'll just get the basic storyline from jo the next time.

after tv, we stayed up late, watching dane cook. he is OH-SO-FUNNY!!!! everybody should watch him! really, truly, a funny guy. he makes the best sound effects as well. and it's just how true his jokes are that make them even funnier. :P oh! we also watched step up 2. so you can only imagine what time we slept.

that night, she also aided in popping the bubbles on my feet, cos it was hurting durng class, and it was high time i did something about it. i really think jo should be a surgeon of some sort. no, wait. she might just do something that may not benefit the patient. lols. did i mention that jo loves gore and such?

anyhows, it's amazing how i managed to wake myself up before noon the next day. :) i'm so proud of myself. lols. but of course, after brushing my teeth, i went right back to sleep, while jo bluetoothed my songs over to her phone.

we went down for brunch once we were fully awake, and then went to the nearby mall to accompany jo's 2nd cousin buy lip butter for his gf. he treated us to mini melts. nice, isnt he? i had grape and strawberry. that didn't really go. the grape was good, but the strawberry, not so much. next time, i'm mixing bubble gum and grape. it should taste better. :P

we finished watching step up 2 after that, and also helped christine figure out and comment on the tarbet cheer music for next year.

class that day was tiring. the coach made us keep going. on and on and on. the new moves were weird. i found them to be repetitive and pretty messy. put all the moves together to low, and you get 1.45 min of continuous, upbeat hiphop dancing. and if that's not enough, she makes us do it like 3 times in a row before a break. now, that's a workout. the plus of tuesday's lesson was the additional jazz move she taught jo and i. very cool. B) i like the slide move. allow me to repeat; very. VERY. cool.

they asked us if we wanted to continue classes next year but i cant. ah well. it was fun anyhows. :P

jo's parents invited me to dinner with them at far east. and that's when it hit me. how we haven't been to orchard in a long time. i mean, i have, with my mom to shop for clothes. but not with the girls to the usual places. slice and the halal ramen place. i'm so planning for friday. i wanna go!! nad!!! set k? we ask our parents first. :p

ahs. then today, i did nothing but laze around at home. i really, really needa start hitting hte gym or something. me and jo made a deal about how we're gonna get a nicole scherzinger body soon. my target - by the end of next year. hopefully. but first, we gotta work to get there. and that means a hell lot of running first to lose ALL the fats. haha. good luck with that man.

i'm gonna force myself to wake up at 7 tmr and have a morning jog. maybe i'll jog towards my old house then turn around and jog back? worth a try right?

i just got back from madrasah orientation. bishan mosque. uber small. and they dont really use english to speak. more malay really.

we went for lunch at serangoon gardens. and i bought a dress from one of the little stores there. super cute lah their dresses. from korea and japan. heh. :) i bought a black one. quite sweet.

haiz. i'm not really in the writing mood. so naturally, this entry wont be too wordy. i'm in a super lie-on-bed-listening-to-music-while-reading kinda mood.

on another note, TWILIGHT is finally out! damn, i wanna watch it so bad!!! i'm SUPPOSED to watch later. but a certain somebody keeps changing his mind.... make up your mind alr!!! quick!!

i swear, i think i'm some sort of jinx to technology. any kind of electrical appliance surrounding me is sure to get busted sooner or later. the cd player at the gym, my phone, the usb cable, and not too long ago, i thought that my computer was going to die as well. (thankfully it didnt)

ah wells. at least that's out of my system. oh. and since i'm so helpless at these kinda things, ppl, HELP me! lols. i wanna put more songs into my phone. but guess what? the usb cable wont even be read by my computer. haiz.

well, moving on to what happened today. playgym was slow. not too many kids. and i managed to interest them in bubbles. haha. >< edward is SOOOO cute when he sees all the bubbles, and goes "BUBBLES!" with this cheeky face. ultra cute. and jennifer gave out balloons, so i took a couple of pictures of eva and cowen with their balloons, using clement's phone. :) SEND IT TO ME ASAP pls and thank you.

after that, i went to orchard with my mom. she brought me dress-hunting. lols. because i was only left with 2 dresses which i'm allowed to wear. so we went to shaw for lunch, then to mango at the isetan there, wisma, taka, and the isetan in taka itself. i bought 2 dresses and about 5 tops in all. :P i know i was supposed to go DRESS-hunting. but the tops were screaming out to me! "nazyraaa. buy us... you know you want to.... xP"

so that's how i ended up with tops. :) so the 2 dresses - one is pink, and really plain. my mom says it makes me look like a little kid. but i think it's sweet. haha. :D and the other one is figure hugging and black. both are cool. and i FINALLY have a dress that matches my hairband nicely.

that leaves me with hip hop, and baking. today was my last working day of the term. i'll probably drop by on saturday though.

okays! i finally found out how to spell her name! eva!!! so cute!!!!! ah! i just wanna bring her back. and then come monday, there was a new cutie. her name was manun. omg they were all so cute!!!!

so anyways, monday was work int he morning with stacey. :P cos clement was on holiday, so stacey took over. heh. it was pretty fun. ghost stories and confusions. her dumb-taxi driver story - wanting to take her to the turf club at kallang or somewhere. and we were all in hysterics laughing away at how dumb the taxi driver was. and also how one of the parents thought stacey was a parent cos they've never seen her before.

after work, we had lunch at serene center. macs and island creamery. :) stacey's friend, tanya, works there. she's really quite cool. really pretty and a good body. ahh! i wanna be that skinny toooo!

heh. so after that, it was training jon and coaching. the usual. but only chloe, her sister - charlene, and tayo was there. i guess everyone else was away on holiday. >.<

O.o creepy huh. no music either!!! i am soooo sad. :( i so need an mp3.

everything is being too repetitive. :S i even finished reading new moon. i'm starting to not like edward. and i hope bella turns into a vampire. i wanna know what she'd take with her into that world. also, i wanna know why all the other vampire's special ability doesn't work on her. not just edward's. hmm.. that's it! i need eclipse!!! haha. such a bookworm, i know. it's pretty addictive, though new moon isnt as good as twilight. but the suspense is still there. i probably have to read it again, once more. the first time, i always flip through the pages, looking for the conversations. cos that always seems more interesting. so maybe once i re-read it, i'll understand. haha.

in the mean time, i need something to occupy my time at home. i seem to be listening to music for hours on end. but i found a pattern to the tv. heh. it's kinda like a timetable for good shows. ok, so everybody, listen up!

it has been almost an eternity since i last updated. sorry you guys. and thanks tiffanie for getting me to finally do this. lols. >< see, another reason i love working there. i get to hang out and teach and "play" with all the cute and chio/handsome ang moh kids and i'm hired to do that. payed to be surrounded by cute ang mohs. haha. hey, but at least i'm putting my skills to good use, k?

anyway, back to wednesday, after work, i had my first hip hop class at amk cc. it's pretty interesting. the moves i mean. and watching boys attempting to do hip hop is amusing in itself. i swear. guys can either dance really well, or they cant dance at all. jo and i came up with that theory. but come on, you can NOT see a guy in the middle of the 2 categories. it's either gd or bad. so pick one.

after hip hop, jo followed me to go the dentist. i had to tighten my braces again. i chose red and green. i'm all for feeling festive. haha. christmasy and all. i sure dont celebrate it. but it'l be fun to watch the reactions of the kids when they see the new colours of my "shiny-thing-in-my-mouth". honeys, once again, they're called braces. buh-rey-ses.

so right after, me and jo went to west coast park for the ''farewell tammie" reunion. we got there early, so we shared a double choc frappe. the others arrived sooner or later and it was really fun. more fun than any of us would've anticipated i think. because i dont think any of us would have thought that sitting around at nc cafe would've been this interesting. we ended up chatting the whole night away. (8 - 11.30pm specifically) and i'd bet that the surrounding occupants of macs were laughing at our jokes and stories too, knowing how k-poh us singaporeans can get.

i'm really gonna miss tammie. :( my seatmate for 3/4 of last yr. and our all time "Colour blind" best friend" with her "black" victoria secrets bag that says PINK. =D tammie teo li ling. skinny calves, gorgeous smile, and smart as hell. i dont think anyone could possibly forget you, so dont worry.




next, on friday, we had the staff dinner at fiesta brasilia, united square. the service there is GREAT. honestly, very high class and the typical "the customer is always right" kinda attitude. that's what i felt anyways. the food was good. basically, my main course was mostly, the fig and olive rice with the tiny baked potatoes, with garlic. and also, penne in cream based sauce. i couldnt eat the meat cos they had pork and stuff. so yea.

but i made a lovely ice cream sundae. and also played with my food. haha. chocolate goes well with anything. i swear. i bet it wouldve been good with wills shirt as well. his WHITE shirt. but naw. i'm not mean. (unlike the 2 guys there. jon and will) one day, i will get back at them. lols. sounds like an empty promise. hahas. the entertainment there is great too! they had like some brasilian band thing. they came to our table, ukelele, drum thingum, and others. and they even passed us some egg shaker thing. very cute. and fun! for sure.

then saturday was the long awaited kinderfest. :P all my cute angels performing for their parents to see. a little hectic, there being about 60 students+parents+little siblings all running round that small gym, and on the equipment. but glad to say that it was a success. i had to handle sky, isabelle, nina and her brother, dominique, adriana and emily. sad to say that it was nina's last day there. and i finally got her to speak. and when i got her to start, i was quite surprised that she talks quite a lot. but not in a bad way, no, not at all. in a very CUTE way! she would say that her brother, timo, was 2, and that he was too small to do gym. and when i highlighted that she was onlyt 3, she said all sorts. so cute and adorable. i hope she visits us again one day if she comes back to spore.

adriana, is still as shy as ever. but she is so sweet. at least i still have time with her. she's rather new. so one day, i'll get her to talk and be more extrovert.

later on that day. i went out wih my family to vivo/harbourfront. breeks. it's not as good as some people make it out to be. btu maybe that's just we already got a chance to have a taste of something a WHOLE lot better - tgif. haha. that place is the BOMB. service, atmosphere. the works. awesome indeed. and not even all that expensive. i think breeks was more costly actually.
and then i got started on new moon. i'm like at the point where edward left unexpectedly. but honestly, bella moping around. in my eyes, she was truly pathetic. but hey. i have a feeling that her stupid scheme might actually work. and jacob black sounds like such a dear. too bad he probably thinks of bella in a different way. lols.

ok, i've seriously lost it. i'm discussing fictional characters on my blog. yikes.

but hey. twilight the movie is coming out! :P and i just cant wait to see it.
