hey hey! i have not posted a post-exam entry yet! so here's what you guys (especially MAMA) have been looking forward to. >.< ok. next up, it's RAMADHAN!!! (it IS ramadhan right??) i did get the name of the month right, right??? >.- *ooops*i'm really bad at remembering the name of the months, sooooo, my muslim-month-naming-instincts kick in!!!! haiyah! lol

getting back to the whole "ramadhan" deal - ramadhan = fasting (for the benefit of those who have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE on how this whole system works, basically, we, muslims, have to fast - meaning, no food, no drinks, from dawn till dusk). i think it's a great way of controlling the amount of food you eat. or so i thought. see, the thing is, the whole losing weight deal would've worked, except for the fact that once we break our fast, we tend to eat more than what one would consider "normal" for dinner.

so, back on the whole "post exam entry" deal here. well, me and 3 other friends were discussing this on the train today, on our way to the ice skating rink at jurong. basically, we came to a conclusion that we're (me, nad and abu - cos the majority was malay just now) sort of like vampires right now minus the whole "drinking blood" and "sleeping in a coffin" thing. i mean, we eat when the sun is down, in darkness, and when the sun is up, we're not allowed to eat. i mean, no matter how you look at it, vampire-like right? haha. just a similarity we drew. nothing more. i'm not saying that we're pro-vampires or whatever. (though a good vampire story will always thrill me).

what's more, in the car, we were talking about nickelodean's tips on how to survive ramadhan. they had crazed out ideas like "avoid the kitchen at all costs. put a photo of your mother at the entrance to keep yourself out" and another one like "lock yourself in your room till ramadhan is over". i mean, HELLO?!? do you seriously think that we starve ourselves for a whole month STRAIGHT??? no way. cos by then, we'd die of starvation, as well as dehydration. also, we were talking about how all those ano people would definitely want to convert to being muslims if fastign was that extreme. i mean, come on, it gives them a legal and valid reason to starve themselves. like picture this. a teacher picks you out from the crowd to see the counsellor, because they're worried about your little eating disorder, and you go "oh, no. you know. this isn't an eating disorder. no. um, it's my religion. you know. people do it for a month, and we do it, you know, for life." like all those sunnah fasts and all.

and i thought that it was pretty hilarious how the fasting month could be linked to things like vampires and other things such as anorexia nervosa. yup. preeety funny.

well, anyways, about today, we had a weird NE quiz in school at 9.30. it was weird beyond WEIRDNESS. seriously. but hey, i got a whooping 306 thousand points! and now i can safely graduate to RJ. (of course taken for granted that i pass english, philosophy, RS and get >2.0) because apparently, you need to get above 200 thousand in order to be able to graduate. i mean, can you imagine? a super smart person comes in and gets a 4.0 in everything and then what? if she fails this NE quiz she cant graduate? even WITH HER 4.0??? <--- THAT was just a scenario. nothing of that sort has actually happened before, so don't worry. no, but seriously, if you get below 200 thousand points, i have no idea what'll happen. O.o maybe they'll make you retake it? ah well. not really my problem at this point. another problem we had to deal with was finding replacement. because a certain somebody (or should i say TWO somebodies) decided to skip out on the whole ice skating pack, we had to find 2 others to replace them. it was incredible, how we managed to find 2 people to replace them int he given time of 1/2 an hour. truly amazing. but, hey! we did it. :) lady luck was on our side huh? basically, after the quiz, me and nad were sitting at the piano in the foyer and abu suddenly comes into the picture. i randomly asked if she wanted to come iceskating (cos, well, it wouldn't hurt asking right?) and surprisingly, her eyes just lit up and she said "ok". like WOW. thank you!! :D so then we just needed another person. see, the thing is that the pricing is such that if you enter in groups of 4, you dont need to pay for the skate rental, and there's also no overtime charge. meaning to say that we get to skate for as long as we want! so we got hold of another person, but i wont mention her name just in case she gets into trouble somehow.

see, the rule is that you can't skate in school uniform, and us coming from school would mean... we're in school attire -.- so anyway, since it was a last minute thing, the other 2 girls obviously didnt have a change of clothes, so we had to pop by their houses so that they could grab a set. so we dropped by her house first and waited in her parents car while she changed. then her parents dropped us off at yio chu kang mrt station and we made our way to abu's house. that was the first time i've been to her house and i give it a thumbs up! it was cool! like it looked modern, yet, it managed to somehow retain the cultural look as well. truly awesome. >.- well, the rest of us got changed there and then we finally made our way to jurong

the bus trip there was somewhat eventful. but not exactly in the positive way. you see the other friend (for convenience, let's name her friend J), see friend J could've sworn that there was a potential molester in the bus. the bus was no what you would call crowded, but wither ways, he sort of touched her leg a bit. at first she thought it was accidental or something of that sort. but just for precaution she edged away. freaky, no? what's more, there was some self-centered person who was blasting music like it was nobody's business. all the way till we reached our destination.

we got off and headed for the ice skating rink. we skated for about 2 and a half hours. not much happened in that 2 and a half hours. we skated counter clockwise circles, abu got a blister, and mostly, we got annoyed by the ice hockey players who just ZOOM around then suddenly stop, scaring little kids and hopeless skaters to death - cos they target those who cant really skate well (that's not me). oh! and i earned how to spin on the ice! really cool! oh, thanks nad for the gloves. i'll wash them and pass it to you asap.

we stopped skating at around 3.20, returned the skates and left the rink. then, we moved on to taking neoprints!!! we were retarded! the neoprints were so.. weird! lol. it's been forever since any of us had actually taken one. so i think we kind of lost our touch. emphasis on the "KINDA". but overall, i think it turned out ok. i stuck one small one on my phone! for commemoration.

we walked round for a bit and then headed home. and that more or less concluded the ice skating day!

you can tell that i'm getting lazy cos the paragraphs are getting shorter, and the events less detailed. ah well, options begin next week together with school! cant wait. no, actually, i can. ah heck! and i needa scout for FAM dresses soon! i'll post again real soon!
