wow. last time i posted was on the 6th. :) well, here's another post. training with her wasn't that bad. i expected a whole lot worse. anyway, on friday, the 11th of January, i managed to do a switch leap connected to a backtuck for the first time!

first, we did like basic routines (that's the routines, without all the hard moves) and then at the 6th one, she suddenly said "nazyra, when wei wei is doing on the beam, you go to the floor and practice scissors-backtuck." and i was shocked. because well, i'm supposed to be changing my connection to backflip-back layout stepout. so, scissors-backtuck? or is it that scissors-scizonne-backhandspring-backtuck? and it was the first one. so i practiced on floor and what do you know? after the routines, she made me do it on the high beam! and on the first day that i'm ever trying out the move and she puts me on the high beam.... *:* so yea, i went on and did it. it wasn't that bad. meaning to say not that scary. but it is SO different from the backflip backtuck. so there. i'm probably gonna die next lesson. she might make us do backflip layout stepout next. :S but i doubt it. that one requires a tad bit more training and getting used to. :)

this has been a really short post but heck! i gotta start on work for the day! and btw, JO GOT MY PHONE IN PINK!!! good for you jo! i'm SOOOO jealous! and i think rachel would be too. :)

hey all! yesterday was my parents anniversary so, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MAMA AND PAPA! :) lotsa love, nazyra <3

that's done, and let's see what has happened since the 1st of Jan. hmm, oh yes, we started school! oh and does it feel GOOD being a senior. so cool! :D but what totally sucks and spoils it all, is the fact that the timetable for this year is SOOO long.... meaning longer school hours, more workload, and less time to get it done.

ok, get this, we end at like 4 on days that we have tests and like extra classes and what not. and like 2.50 every other day! like wth? ok, i know that we're a prestigious school and all but hello! some people have a social life! (ok, by some, i'm not actually including myself because just for the record, with gym, i don't)

hmm, so i got my IC, had like briefings till the 3rd day of school, and then lessons sorta started on friday. and then on friday itself, i had to leave halfway through history because of this malay photoshoot for manja.

so weird and kinda disorganised actually, but nonetheless quite ok. we were told to reach the place before 2 so, we (meaning to say bilah and i) got there at 1.40, with lunch already taken. then we had so much trouble finding the place, and we had to wait like a half hour before someone else actually showed up! yea, then when the "interview started, she didn't actually ask us the questions, she asked for my paper abd just took it from there. i don't know what she was trying to do but apparently we were supposed to come prepared with the answers so that she doesn't have to waste rher energy asking, and writing things down herself. i just cannot believe the nerve of some people.. but after that she was alright. like that incident was the only thing i will actually critiscize her for.

the make-up itself took about 1/2 an hour per person and that would make 2 hours cos there were 4 people present. and the lady applied such a thick layer of make-up, that up till now, i still think i have a wee bit of eyeliner on my face! hmm, i think i looked like those chinese ghosts from horror movies. haha, or chinese opera or something. but it did not look good. my face was so white, it almost resembled sarah's skin tone. nut at least sarah looks good with that skin tone because it's natural and suits her. mine looked so artificial and eeps! i don't know how to put it.

so, i arrived at the gym for training like 2 hours late, and with make-up on my face. yuan lao shi just came back and guess what? we're still alive. but we're soon-to-be-corpses. cos we just got the news that zhao lao shi'll be leaving for china and only coming back on the 16th! so, in the meantime, i think that it's gonna be torture. ah well, we still have a long way to go if we want to achieve bigger things, apart from more golds at seagames.

i think i'm crapping way too much here, so i'll save some of the stories for another day. oh, and i sure hope that the rest of the teachers this year will be as nice and cool as the others so far!

ok, got that of my list of things to do. the countdown at vivo was great! GREAT! absolutely fantastic and fabulous. we had to reach there at 8 but we only go up on stage at 11.45 --> 15 minutes till countdown.

but first, what happened before the countdown =
1) training - we played for the whole day! (again) bilah said that it's gonna be her last training day with us. :( and it's our last day of slacking, before we actually strart proper training again. so we finally have quite a number of games to play, now that we have more people. and the thing about yesterday's training is that we had no strength training after playing. BUT the losing team did have to do strength training as a "punishment". and my group actually lost like 4 times playing dog & bone. so lots and lots of strength training for me and my group. we ended at 6. but we ended up playing physical games till 5-ish. but we played charades and acrobatic things till 6.

2) vivo - we showered at the gym and then the twins' parents sent us to vivo. we ate at banquet and then headed up. we got a pass that says "artiste - all access". it is just sooooo cool being there. with all the artistes and all. we did our make-up, and they straightened my hair (i am officially convinced that i want to re-bon my hair now) so, during that period between 8 and 11.30, we did a few things. we made friends with joakim gomez (btw, it's pronounced Joakim, not Wakim, like J), followed wei draw money, played charades, and joined in on the party backstage!

3) we all looked soooo stupid on stage.... i do not want to elaborate on that point but either ways, I SHOOK HANDS WITH TAUFIK BATISAH.

well, i don't really know what else to say right about now, so i guess i'll conclude by wishing everyone a good year ahead. :D
