oh my goodness. i'm really sorry for not posting in a real long time. i know it must've been boring looking at the same old posts, and never seing an update. sooner or later, i bet all my readers simply gave up. but fear not! i'm back. >.-

a whole lot of things have been going on in that span of time that i neglected my blog.

for starters, there were mid years. which. i'm glad to say was, well. ok. :) in terms of overall achievement, it was ok. better than last year, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. and i will strive hard till i achieve my goal for this year's gpa.

and recently, the malay students embarked on a journey to tanjung pinang, where i learnt to apreciate my malay heritage, and also being a singaporean. cos seriously, you DO NOT wanna know how YELLOW the water is there. even at the hotel!

haha. but that was the only letdown of the trip. oh wait. i was forgetting the terryfying blackouts we all had to experience within the hotel itself. simply terrifying. it was horrible because everything is dark. pitch black. dark.

we were there for 3 days and 2 nights. and boy, was it fun! we went via ferry. and the upper deck is just too cool. but honestly, i think that it sparks the retardedness in you. we were all high and energetic. but we were high in a good way.

the hotel we stayed in was called "comfort", and the food they served was wonderful. it's the kind that you eat little in terms of amounts, and can still feel full! i especially enjoyed the sotong that had batter. sotong goreng? lol. i have NO idea what to call it. but it was delicious. then we went to the tempe shop. they sold lots of kerepek, tempe and otherwise. i bought 2 tempe crackers to bring home and a packet of fish ball crackers to eat during our stay. it was cool cos behind the shop itself, was where they cut the tempe into real thin slices, and was also where they deep fried it in this humungorous wok. NOT KIDDING. it was huge! MASSIVE!

the first day was actually the least eventful. but either ways we had fun. after that empe shop visit, we went to the bandar - which means town in english. there, we were given half an hour to shop for necessities, namely WATER. we simply cannot get hold of enough bottled water there. i think after that trip, a lot of us would have gotten a tad bit afraid of water. dirty-water-phobia you could say. - so within that half hour, we went to the convenience store, and bought that wonderful aple tea that leaves a cooling feeling in your throat while you're drinking it. we also bought a bottle of water each, mints and 2 packets of bubblegum. oh! i forgot to mention that i roomed togehter with my best bud - nad! :) yup. after which, we had about 20 minutes left, and so we scouted for nad's earrings. for she is still, up to today, a die-hard earring crazy girl. :) and im saying that in a good way. for a girl's best friend is her accesorries! she found one and it was not even 50 cents in singpore currency. it was 3900 rp. and since thy don't actually have a 100rp note or coin, nad received her change in mentos. that makes it 2000rp and 1 mentos. we were amazed. or more like horrified at the currency. they just have WAY too many zeros. me and nad got so confused! thank goodness we each take note of our expenditure. so we theoretically know what we're meant to have. oh oh! and they're icecream is AMAZING. it's 3000rp! and it is oishii!

the next day, we went to pulau penyengat.

you know what? i SO cannot be bothered with the rest and like i cant remember. so go to nad's blog to check out the details but i will say one thing,

the sma 1 school. (i think and hope i spell it right) are so hospitable! and there are quite a few cute guys there!!! farizal and yogi! <3
